Save Our Strays is a registered Mumbai based animal welfare charity working for the welfare of the stray animals. SOS is soon to complete 15 years and the journey has been very fulfilling for the team. SOS was started way back in 2003 by Shirley Menon when he moved to Andheri from Bandra. The appalling condition of animals in this area gave him nightmares and the only way to get peace of mind was to change these conditions. Every day he would step out to the sight of a dead dog and that was it. He really had only two options, to ignore it or to do something about it, and he chose the latter.

Many programs such as animals birth control, vaccination, adoptions, food pool program, healthcare and many more were also started by this organization to bring change in the lives of stray animals.
