Founder's vision & message

Mrs. Janki Vasant is the founder of Samvedana Trust, a charity in Ahmedabad, Gujarat in the year 2003 with a deep commitment towards quality education and upliftment of communities. Mrs. Janki Vasant’s early experiences inspired her to dedicate her life to serving children, youth,  and from underprivileged backgrounds, positioning Samvedana Trust as a compassionate charity and respected NGO. Her leadership has helped grow Samvedna from serving 30 children to impacting the lives of over 200,000 beneficiaries with its programmes of holistic development.

The mission of Samvedana Trust is to enable access to quality education, fight malnutrition, and empower youth and women with livelihood skills, while its vision is to create a custainable environment of inclusive growth for vulnerable communities. Major projects include Akshara (early learning), Sattva (nutrition support), Eklavya (scholarships and mentoring), and Udgreev (vocational skill training).

Under Mrs. Janki Vasant’s guidance, the charity has partnered with the government's ICDS nutrition project, engaged several volunteers, and gained national recognition, including the Nari Shakti Puraskar awarded to her by the president of India. These achievements are a testimony to the Trust’s lasting impact across Ahmedabad and Gujarat in education and community development.
