Shamsher Singh, founder of Prabh Aasra, established the NGO with a vision of creating a compassionate society where abandoned, orphaned, mentally challenged, and destitute individuals can live with dignity. Through Prabh Aasra in SAS Nagar, Punjab, he has ensured to transform lives by providing shelter, healthcare, education, and rehabilitation services. The charity aims to ensure that every vulnerable individual receives care, protection, and opportunities for a better life.

Under the leadership of Shamsher Singh, Prabh Aasra in SAS Nagar, Punjab, has implemented several impactful projects, including Mission Milap, the Cradle Initiative, disaster relief programmes, medical camps, and rehabilitation services for homeless individuals. The NGO is supported by a network of volunteers and well-wishers who contribute to its charity work and community outreach efforts. Its mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and reunite vulnerable individuals with their families, while its vision is to build an inclusive and caring society.  

The NGO has earned recognition for successfully rehabilitating more than 1,900 such individuals and reuniting over 1,300 persons with their families through mission Milap. Prabh Aasra has also worked alongside government departments and local authorities during social welfare and disaster relief activities. The NGO continues to make a meaningful difference and bring hope to less privileged communities through its continuous charity efforts.
