Bhagat Puran Singh envisioned a life devoted to serving the most marginalized, and his compassion established the foundation for the NGO Pingalwara in Amritsar, Punjab. Motivated by charity and humanity, his mission was to create a world where the sick, poor, disabled, and destitute are provided with care and respect. The vision of this NGO continues to build a compassionate society and an inclusive NGO that prioritises human dignity above all.

Inspired by Bhagat Puran Singh’s, Pingalwara grew into a registered charity NGO undertaking major projects in healthcare, prosthetic rehabilitation, education for underprivileged children, and environmental projects such tree planting and natural farming. The mission focuses on providing free medical care, shelter, and community support to those who lack access. Today the organization is supported by charity partners and international volunteers.
