Katha is a Delhi-based organization that brings children living in poverty into reading and quality education. Started in 1988, Katha has enlightened the lives of more than one million children by providing quality through modern education tactics. Over the past three decades, through its education institutes named Katha Lab School and Katha English Academy, the NGO has been providing quality education to the underprivileged children of the Delhi region. Katha has been the recipient of the Millennium Alliance award 2013, the ICICI India Inclusive Award 2012, the North India Winner of India NGO Awards 2009 and it has also been nominated for the prestigious Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 consistently. 

Since its inception back in 1988, the NGO has consistently evolved to stay focused on its mission to create a positive impact in society. Children who are sheltered under the educational umbrella of Katha feel confident and happy. Their dreams are coming true and this is all possible because of the consistent efforts of team Katha. The organization plans to expand its wings across Delhi through active voluntary efforts and the charity of the people who care.
