What would you do if you see a group of children fighting with dogs for leftover food? This was a life-changing event for A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. This was the time when the seeds of Akshay Patra were sown. In 2005 the Bangalore's NGO successfully incorporated mid-day meal program to feed 1500 children every day across government schools in Bangalore.
